The Smart Car is Everywhere
The Smart Fortwo is literally everywhere these days. Having gone on sale in the US just a few short months ago, sightings of the Smart Car are becoming increasingly commonplace.
The San Francisco Chronicle notes that cities may have to rethink their parking laws, based on new smaller cars.
What is a city to do?
Just 8-feet, 8-inches long - about 3 feet shorter than the Mini Cooper - Smart cars can squeeze into just about any parking space. That’s sure to make them a hit in San Francisco. But whether they can wedge themselves into a system of parking laws designed for much larger vehicles is going to be the bigger challenge.
I’ve seen them all over the Bay Area. And today, I saw one parked in my company’s parking lot.
The Smart Car revolution has officially begun.
These things are so cool. I’m not materialistic at all, particularly about cars. But I sincerely want to get one of these.

Soon enough, if you haven’t yet, you’ll see one in your neighborhood. Make no mistake: alternative vehicles like this are going to be more and more common sights.
Which is how I feel: in the not-to-distant-future, I want us to be an all-environmentally friendly vehicle family. That sounds like a pretty cool place to be!
