Green As A Thistle Is No More
One of our favorite blogs, green or otherwise seems to have wound down to a stop.
As of today, blogger Vanessa from Green As a Thistle is hanging it up. Somewhat. She’s mildly cagey, but she is giving the distinct impression that today was her last post.
And what an inspiring post it was! Looking for truth, eloquence and brutal honesty about what it means to be Green (of all shades)? Check out this post. Among the chestnuts is this, my favorite part (point #2)
Ironically, the greenest way to live is in the gray area. We can’t possibly take this movement to the next level when we’re still bickering about whether so-and-so is an environmentalist or not. Who cares?
There’s a lot to be learned from this last missive. I’d like to help pushing these ideas forward: the doom and gloom is too easy of a trap for us to get into.
If this really was her last post, we all need to carry this torch.
Be green for the adventure, help where you can but be your own freaking self! Live simple, live green, be accountable and just live.
