Organic Food Poll Results
My company does weekly online polls, by way of a weekly email newsletter.
This past week’s was on organic food consumption. They released the results today, which I thought would be interesting to share.
The question: How do you feel about “organic”foods?
Almost half (48.72%) of all poll respondents seemed to think organically grown food would be an ideal choice if it weren’t noticeably more expensive.
The next highest response (19.49%) was by pollsters who indicated they buy organic whenever possible.
Only 10% of readers felt the trend toward organic foods was just hype. No matter your personal thoughts on the matter, consumer trends worldwide show steady growth in organic food sales.
The results…
Just the latest fad; a “rip off.” 10.38%
A carrot is a carrot, organic or not. 11.66%
A good thing, but too expensive. 48.72%
I buy organic whenever possible. 19.49%
I only eat organic food. 0.48%
I never eat organic food. 4.95%
Other opinion or N/A. 4.31%
Keeping in mind that the overall number of respondents is small. Not to mention: those who responded may not represent the company as a whole. So, maybe we just consider this a small, random group of people who like to take polls?
What do you think: are these about the results that you would expect? Less than 10% of people had a negative response, with over 50% pro-organic.
That looks like a truly positive split to me!
