Nokia 3110 evolve: the eco-friendly phone
Ever consider this possibility? Nokia, the world’s biggest mobile phone manufacturer, recently announced an eco-friendly phone: The Nokia 3110 evolve.
Here are the main facts:
1. “bio-covers” made with over 50 percent renewable materials.
2. packaging: comes in a box made of 60 percent recycled materials. The box itself is also smaller, allowing more units to be shipped within the same amount of space. This reduces the amount of energy expended to deliver.
2. power: the 3110 evolve comes with a charger which is 94 per cent more efficient than the Energy Star requirements. This will also be rolled out to the entire Nokia line over the next year.
Tech-y details:
1.3 megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom
Bluetooth-capable
Stereo MP3 player and FM radio
Video 3GPP streaming
Up to four hours of talk time and up to 370 hours standby
Overall, if considering a new Nokia, or switching to a compatible plan, this phone may just be the coolest choice right now. I have faith in Nokia to do even more with products like this.
