Tees For Change!
Tees For Change is the latest in an array of very impressive companies that I’ve stumbled across.
Their motto is ‘Sustainable tees on a mission’. And that suits them perfectly.
All tees are fair trade and made under sweatshop-free conditions from 100% organic cotton or 70% bamboo/30% organic cotton.
Organic cotton is good, since it is cultivated without the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers. This is good for the environment and for the workers who grow and manufacture the shirts.
Naturally sustainable bamboo is fast-growing and, because of its natural antibacterial properties, it needs no pesticides and is 100% biodegradeable.
Lastly, their shirts are dyed using low impact eco-friendly dyes and are locally screenprinted.
As you’d expect, they also donate profits. Tees for Change have partnered with American Forests’ Global Releaf to plant a tree for every shirt purchased at retail price.
