Green Holidays: LED or Standard Holiday Lights?
We have a problem at our house. Exactly: an aesthetic dilemma fueled by environmental concerns. Sounds important, right?
Here is our dilemma: we all grew up with the standard holiday lights. These are the bright, colorful lights that many of us aged 20-100 associate with the holidays of our youth.
Progress has been made, and we now have an LED-based holiday light option. LED Holiday Lights are also bright, but have a little different look and glow. I happen to like it.
(Stop me if you haven’t heard this before!)
While we have a number of strands that still work, I want to eventually replace those and go LED. My wife, just as concerned about energy consumption and staying Green, prefers the warmth of regular lights. Conflicted, but still preferring the lights she grew up with.
What to do??
Stay tuned. We’re just getting all of our lights up. I’m curious to see how this turns out.
