The Lazy Environmentalist
I’ve been hearing alot about this book, so have decided to post while I look into it. The Lazy Environmentalist: Your Guide to Easy, Stylish, Green Living is by Josh Dorfman, producer & host of The Lazy Environmentalist radio show and founder & CEO of Vivavi.
About the book… from the review at Amazon:
A comprehensive guidance to fashion-forward consumers who are as concerned about the long-term health of our planet as they are about the design of their bathroom fixtures. Covering topics that range from clothing to electronic gadgetry, home decor to recreation, and gardening to financial investment, Dorfman lets us know which trends to watch and which eco-conscious products—cars, toothbrushes, cell phones, pet accessories—to buy. Green, it turns out, can be an extremely stylish color.
The reviews on Amazon are mostly positive, but there are some negative ones. Most of what comes into question is how product-focused the book is.
As someone who has spent time researching, seeking out and buying eco-friendly/Green products, I welcome starting points.
Gross consumerism is not the goal: becoming informed on choices and resources is.
Off the soapbox now…
Overall, this sounds pretty cool, and right up our alley. I’ll be adding this to my Amazon Wish List. My review on this will be forthcoming!
(Incidentally, the radio show that Josh Dorfman hosts is on Sirius Satellite.)
