simple + green

Aimee Mann is one of our very favorite musicians. She writes incredible songs, makes astounding sounding albums and sings beautifully. And now, about to embark on her 2nd Holiday tour, is doing her best to stay green on the road.

According to reverbrock.org:

Aimee Mann has joined forces with non-profit group Reverb to decrease her environmental “footprint” while on tour and engage fans to take action. Actions include:

* Neutralizing the CO2 emissions produced by the tour bus, energy used at shows, flights and hotel accomodations
* Using eco-friendly products and supplies backstage and on the bus
* Offering fans the option to offset their travel to and from shows (ask at the merchandise booth
* Charity ticket auctions to benefit Reverb.

There are also a number of great tips for a Green holiday, which has been one of our favorite subjects recently.

This is really exciting news! The more that artists get involved like this, the quicker the word is spread. Maybe there are fans of Aimee’s music that weren’t aware of such possibilities?
