Simplify: Taking It Slow During The Holidays

The obvious route to the holidays is to match everyone’s frenetic pace:
Shopping!
Parties!
Drink/eat too much!
Why not take it slow? Why not find imaginative ways to spend time, money and energy?

Low Impact, High Guilt?

Seth Godin wonders if the local and organic movement isn’t going down the wrong path.
In a blog post entitled “Getting sad at Whole Foods (more vs. less)” Godin questions if  looking at our choices by how little impact the food and products we buy have on the environment is the right tack.
For me, local [...]

Changing The World 1 CFL Bulb At A Time

As heard in a PG&E radio spot. You’ve heard this before, but it still gives pause:
“If every house in California changed out and installed 1 CFL bulb, it would be like taking 40,000 cars off the road for 1 year”
With CFL bulbs available everywhere, how could the change possibly be easier?
